The Bespoke Journey
COLLABORATE
The Woven Arts rug begins with your inspiration—whether a fabric swatch, a travel memory, or a personal sketch. We collaborate closely to bring your vision to life, matching colours to your scheme, defining the ideal size and shape, and selecting from premium fibres to create a piece that truly belongs in your space.
DESIGN
We finalise and draw up the initial artwork and plan view before the sampling process begins. If required, sampling can take up to 4-6 weeks. Final artworks and samples are then presented for approvals and production on your custom rug can begin.
QUOTATION
We share a detailed quote covering design, consultation, and sampling. You’ll receive digital layouts and a final shade card for approval before production. Sampling ranges from 2’x2’ to 3’x5’, depending on the design, and begins once the token amount is deposited. This process helps you understand how choices in colour, construction, and materials shape the rug’s time, craft, and cost.
PREPARE
Our artisans wash, spin, and dye your chosen yarn, then set the loom according to the selected weave technique.
PRODUCTION
The weaving of your custom piece now begins—crafted start to finish by artisans who bring your story to life. Once the 50% advance is received, you can relax; we’ll only reach out with production updates and will strive to deliver your rug on time or earlier.
SHIPMENT
You’ll receive photos of your piece(s) and the final invoice. Once the remaining 50% is paid, we dispatch your rug. Every rug undergoes strict quality checks, then is carefully packed and delivered to its final home.
AFTER SALES SERVICE
After delivery, our quality control team will visit your space to inspect the rug, measure the area, assist with installation, and guide you on proper cleaning and maintenance.

HAND KNOTTE
Hand knotted rugs are created by tightly knotting the yarn by hand using thousands of individual knots. The size of the knot determines the quality of the rug, with the smallest knots allowing the finest detail. This is the most traditional technique we use, it is very skilled work and takes time, patience and expertise. The structure and density of a hand made rug will withstand many years of use...
HAND TUFTED
Produced by punching individual yarns through fabric backing using a hand held tufting gun. The design options are limitless due to the precision and versatility of the gun. Our experienced team have the ability to use multiple yarns and colours, switch from cut pile to loop pile or change the height of pile making this a very popular technique to produce bespoke rugs, carpets or wall hangings...
HAND LOOM
These are one of the most prominent styles of constructing a rug in today’s market if one is looking for that soft pile and smooth texture. A handloom rug is woven on a mechanically operated loom with shuttles going from one end to another carrying the yarn with it. These carpets are woven in such a fashion that the rug holds its structural integrity even if a cotton cloth backing is not applied to it...
